The Productologist

Well, we made it to the 1 year mark! 39 posts (that’s an average of 3 per month for you non-math majors out there).

It has certainly been an interesting ride so far and I have learned a great deal about blogging, Product Management and Product Management blogging. Thanks to all of my subscribers, readers, commenters and lurkers for either joining in the conversation or sticking with me.

In recognition of the last 365 days (next year it will be 366), here’s a short list of notable events and some favorite postings:

Firsts

I mentioned late last year that I was planning to add some new features to The Productologist. Book Reviews is one of those new features.

My motivation is somewhat self-serving (isn’t it always that way?) in that I wanted to spend more time reading about topics that appeal to me professionally and this is the carrot/stick that I am using to accomplish that goal.

I do a good bit of reading already, online and off line, but most of it falls into two categories:

• Escapist fiction (primarily science fiction, but I’m also prone to political or societal farce, too)

Thanks to a new plug-in, The Productologist is now available for easy access and reading on mobile devices with web browsers, like the Nokia N70, pictured here. It’s even better on smartphones, primarily because of their generally larger screen size, not because of any smartphone functionality.

Now you can access The Productologist anywhere you have mobile access. Please note, this could have adverse affects on your cellular bill if you do not have an unlimited data plan.

Over the next several weeks, you may notice some changes at The Productologist. I have already made some minor modifications to the site layout and will be adding some new features (content- and site-wise) before the end of the year.
